What is Idea Item?

Idea Item reimagines what merch can be. We connect brands to untapped audiences through culture and design.

We create (co-branded) merch products that our clients can sell in their retail locations and through our online shop where we sell our own Idea Item brand and merch from other brands.

 

"Why" is Idea Item?

NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO BE A BILLBOARD! Yet most brand merchandise is exactly that: a logo on a shirt. It is missed opportunity for brands to express identity in a way people choose to wear. We create merch that behaves like standalone product, not advertising.

 

Merch with a meaning

Idea Item is inspired by the vibe, location, and identity of each brand. Filtered through a cultural lens the designs make our products desirable. The result: pieces that feel collectible, current, and connected to the local scene.

 

Who is producing Idea Item products?

Idea Item works together with a local Portland (Oregon) screen printer and sources t-shirts from quality sustainable clothing labels like Stanley/Stella.
